45322 Private William Alfred Morgan, 1st Lancashire Fusiliers. Killed in action on 4th September 1918, aged 19.

MEMORIAL SERVICE. - An impressive memorial service for Pte. W. A. Morgan, 1st Lancs., son of Mr. A. Morgan, Top Lanes Cottage, Criftins, who recently was killed in action on the western front, was held on Sunday evening in the Primitive Methodist chapel. Deceased was only 19, and his favourite hymn, "Rock of Ages," was sung during the service. Mr. John Lloyd, Trench, was the preacher, his text being "He being dead yet speaketh," Heb. xi, 4. There was a largew congregation.
